Upload the original song, let the AI isolate the vocals and sync the original lyrics, then replace the text with your parody in the Lyrics Editor. Because your parody follows the same melody, the existing timings are preserved.
Best when:
Your parody follows the original song's melody and rhythm.
You don't already have an instrumental track.
You want the fastest and most accurate workflow with minimal manual editing.
Upload an instrumental or karaoke track, paste your parody lyrics, and sync them yourself in the Lyrics Editor.
Best when:
You already have an instrumental or karaoke version.
Your parody has a different structure from the original (extra lines, spoken sections, different phrasing).
The original lyrics aren't available, or you want full control over the timing.
Writing your parody to match the original song will save you a lot of work later.
When writing your lyrics:
Keep the same number of lines as the original whenever possible.
Try to keep a similar number of words per line. Matching word counts preserves the existing timings almost perfectly.
Match the rhythm and pacing of the original song. Lines that are much longer than the original will usually require manual adjustments.
Whichever workflow you choose, you'll need to understand how the Lyrics Editor works. Before you begin, we recommend reading the following guide:

From your Dashboard, click Create.
Select From a song with vocals → Create from a song.
Upload the original song (audio or video) or paste a YouTube link.
Under Vocal Isolation, choose:
Base – suitable for most projects.
Pro – recommended if you want separate control over backing vocals.
Under Lyrics, choose one of the following:
Transcribe for me (recommended)
I have lyrics and paste the original lyrics exactly as sung.
Enter a project title.
Click Generate.
⚠ Important
Always use the original lyrics at this stage—not your parody.
The AI synchronizes the lyrics by listening to what the singer actually sings. Using parody lyrics here will produce incorrect timing.
After processing is complete, you'll be taken to the Video Editor with isolated vocals and synchronized lyrics.
Before changing any lyrics, play through the song and confirm the original lyrics are correctly synchronized.
It's much easier to spot timing or transcription errors while the displayed lyrics still match the audio.
Open the Lyrics panel and select Lyrics Editor.
You can update your lyrics in two ways:
Rewrite every line in a single editor while preserving the existing structure.
Edit individual lines or even individual words directly from the lyrics list.
If your parody requires adding, removing, splitting, or merging lines, make those structural changes from the lyrics list before editing the text.

⚠ Important
Never use Replace mode for a parody.
Replace mode removes every lyric and every timing, meaning you'll need to synchronize the entire song again.
⚠ Important
Don't click Sync with AI after replacing your lyrics.
The AI will try to synchronize your parody against vocals that are still singing the original words, overwriting both automatic and manual timing adjustments.
When you edit lyrics, MyKaraoke Video tries to preserve existing synchronization.
Every word keeps its original timing, making the new lyrics immediately synchronized.
The application preserves the timings of the remaining words wherever possible.
The editor attempts to fit the additional words into the available space.
If there isn't enough room, you'll see a Timing conflict. To resolve it:
Make more space on the waveform, or
Manually re-sync that line.
Click Save in the Lyrics Editor and preview your project.
By default:
The instrumental track plays at full volume.
The original vocal track is muted.
This is the recommended setup for parody karaoke videos.
If needed, adjust track volumes from the Audio Tracks section of the editor.
From your Dashboard, click Create.
Select From an instrumental file → Create from an instrumental.
Upload your instrumental or karaoke track.
Under Lyrics, either:
Paste your parody lyrics, or
Upload an .srt, .lrc, or .json lyrics file with existing timings.
Enter a project title.
Click Save & Continue.
The Sync Lyrics page offers two synchronization methods.
(Optional) Upload a vocal recording that matches your instrumental, such as:
You singing the parody, or
The isolated original vocals.
Open the Lyrics Editor.
Tap along with the music to synchronize each word.
Using a matching vocal recording makes manual synchronization significantly easier.

If you've recorded your parody vocals and they match the instrumental perfectly:
Upload the vocal recording.
Choose either the Base or Pro synchronization engine.
Click Save & Continue.
The AI will synchronize your lyrics automatically. This process consumes credits.
Click Save & Continue after synchronizing your lyrics.
If some lines remain unsynchronized, you'll receive a warning. You can continue anyway and finish synchronizing them later in the Video Editor.
Your edited line contains more words than fit within the available timing.
Solution
Create more space on the waveform, or
Reset and manually synchronize that line.
The text you're pasting contains a different number of lines than the project.
Solution
Add, remove, split, or merge lines in the Lyrics Editor before using Edit all lyrics.
This usually happens because the rhythm of your parody doesn't match the original song closely enough.
Solution
Rewrite the line to better match the original rhythm, or
Manually synchronize that line.
Once your parody lyrics are synchronized, you're ready to customize your karaoke video with fonts, colors, backgrounds, animations, and other visual effects.
